Wanted: Social Entrepreneurship Journalist

The Social Entrepreneurship Journalist is a Frontline Media project which aims at fostering entrepreneurship as a viable career option with the high levels of unemployment or difficult employment situations leaving little room for individuals with high ambitions.

Our initiative focuses on analyzing economic, political and socio-cultural conditions as well as conceptualizing and implementing sustainable public policy programs to foster entrepreneurship.

We’ll be closely partnering with governments, universities and highly influential individuals around Malawi to deliver customized and unique solutions that resolve the most significant issues of strategic importance as far as entrepreneurship is concerned.

The Job

In order to supplement our team, we are looking for volunteers for the position of Social Entrepre­neurship Journalist. The goal of this activity is to perform interviews (written, podcasts, videos and any other format which makes sense) with selected successful social entrepreneurs all around the country, with a focus on all the 28 districts. We want to publish weekly stories/interviews and you would have the full responsibility for this report.

> Getting in touch with outstanding individuals and thus building a unique network

> This is a volunteering position, thus you can perform it next to any other activity such as studies or a job which you have.

> You would set up your own structure for this series and conduct this project in a very self-directed manner.

We are looking for a passionate and self-driven individual who wants to join our exciting endeavor. We do not really care for any specific qualification or background. We primarily look for

> Outstanding motivation and a passion for entrepreneurship

> Ideally some journalistic and blogging experience

> Highly proficient or native in English (written and spoken)
